And how does one get this "knowledge"? There are two schools of thought on how we indeed gain knowledge. Why is this definition important? Because knowledge encompasses everything that we, as an individual human being knows to be true. ![]() It is a set of logical arguments about how get knowledge, how we define it, and what counts as knowledge. Epistemology in its simplest form, is the study of knowledge.
